Sight of Sound
The Dallas Chamber Symphony is pleased to announce its International Film Competition, Sight of Sound. We are asking filmmakers one question: What does sound look like visualized?
• Make a movie that reflects one of the competition music selections.
• Your film cannot contain any dialogue or sound effects-only the music (think Disney's Fantasia). Think outside of the box-we welcome the abstract, linear, non-linear, etc.
• All finalists will be screened with live symphonic accompaniment at the Dallas Chamber Symphony's season finale on April 29, 20144 at City Performance Hall in Dallas, Texas. Films are projected on a large screen above the stage, as the orchestra performs the music from the stage.
• All finalists receive the Dallas Chamber Symphony's professional recording of the music, to be dubbed to their film, which may be distributed for non-commercial purposes.
• $500 reward for Audience Favorite
• $500 reward for Judges Favorite (Best Picture Award)
