Oct 5, 2012 - Marfa Film Festival Announces 2013 Dates

After a two-year hiatus, Marfa Film Festival, originally founded in 2007, announced this week its highly anticipated return. The Marfa Film Festival will make its fourth appearance June 26-30, 2013. During its run, the festival was tagged in international press as an up-and-coming destination film festival and a serious contender on the US film festival circuit. Cited as one of the "Top 25 Festivals Worth the Fee," by MovieMaker Magazine and hailed as "The best little festival," by LA Weekly, it was quickly compared to the early incarnations of Sundance and Telluride.

The festival, though it does have a far reach in the national and international festival circuits, credits the tremendous support and participation of the residents in the tri-county area. Local businesses, artists and volunteers all pitched in, creating a grassroots movement with a communal and inclusive energy.
