    Department of Family and Protective Services is working with daycare operations to help them reopen quickly and safely. The agency is contacting each licensed daycare in the Houston area to see if they are open or when they anticipate reopening. DFPS is providing technical assistance - explaining safe use of generators, hygiene, and other important health and safety issues.

    Department of Family and Protective Services: Adult Protective Services is coordinating with local law enforcement and other state officials to ensure that people who are elderly or have disabilities are provided needed assistance.
