    Dyed Diesel Waivers
    The Governor’s office has secured waivers from the EPA and the IRS to allow for the use of dyed diesel for on road use. This will allow farmers and ranchers who have dyed diesel on affected properties to legally use the fuel on the highway through midnight, September 25th.

    The TCEQ is performing field assessments for public water systems, waste water treatment plants and landfills, and continues efforts to contact systems in the affected area. The TCEQ is working with the state department of emergency management to prioritize and coordinate assistance to these systems.

    Texas Commission on Environmental Quality: TCEQ continues to contact public water systems and wastewater treatment plants. The TCEQ will work with the state department of emergency management to prioritize and coordinate assistance to these systems. The TCEQ Strike Team along with Texas Task Force Ike is in Galveston and has set up the Mobile Command Post and Unified Command. The TCEQ will coordinate with other federal and state agencies in identifying and remediating potential environmental hazards.
