TYC Updates Due to Hurricane Ike
The Al Price State Juvenile Correctional Facility in Beaumont remains closed and without power due to the effects of Hurricane Ike. All youth from the facility were relocated last Thursday, September 11, to other TYC facilities, along with approximately 50 TYC staff members. TYC inspectors have conducted a preliminary assessment of the facility and found it to be in good condition. We are currently checking with local governmental agencies to determine when power and services will be restored. At this time, we believe we will be able to return our youth to the facility early next week.Texas Youth Commission
