KVRX (91.7 FM) "None of the Hits, All of the Time" is the 3,000-watt noncommercial student-run radio station at The University of Texas at Austin. Formerly KTSB-Cable FM, in early 1994 the station changed to KVRX-FM, and shares 91.7 with KOOP-FM, Austin Co-op radio. We broadcast through Real Audio web-casting 24 hours a day and we are on FM, Mondays through Fridays, 7 p.m. till 9 a.m. and Saturdays and Sundays, from 10 p.m. till 9 a.m. To listen online, goto www.kvrx.org. We feature underground music with an emphasis on new releases, Texas artists, blues, jazz, folk, World, Reggae, and hip-hop music. Programming includes campus, local and national news and sports, and community affairs. More than 215 students are involved with KVRX-FM. It is required on each two-hour program to include 2 Texas artists. Texas programming includes Local Live , which airs Sundays 10 p.m.-11p.m. featuring a local band live in the studio. We put out compilations from these recordings. We also sponsor live music shows in town regularly.

KOOP (91.7 FM) is a 3,000-watt, noncommercial community radio station that began broadcasting in late 1994. KOOP-FM shares its frequency with KVRX-FM, The University of Texas at Austin student-run station. The KOOP studio is located at 3823 Airport Blvd., Suite B. KOOP is a community radio station owned and operated by its members. Any member of the community can apply to produce a radio program, and KOOP provides facilities and training. KOOP has about 77 different locally-produced programs airing every week, in time slots of 15, 30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes. Each of these programs is produced by an individual member or by a collective of members. KOOP provides a diverse array of programming, emphasizing programs that deal with local issues and/or serve communities which are under-served by the mainstream media. We generally schedule news/public affairs programming on weekdays from 1pm - 3 pm and 6pm - 7 pm and music programming at all other times during the week and on weekends.

KWTS 91.1 FM is a non-commercial college station that promotes the freshest music and newest talent on the West Texas A&M University campus. KWTS is fully operated by students. KWTS is also involved in many other broadcasting organizations: Maroon Productions, National Broadcasting Society, Live Crew, Campus Beat and various campus and community activities. We operate at 6,000 watts, which reaches approximately nine counties in the Texas Panhandle. They are also one of the first college stations in our market to stream video and audio over the Internet. In addition, we are the first radio station in the Texas Panhandle to Podcast all special programming. KWTS serves the students of West Texas A&M University, Canyon, Amarillo and surrounding areas by offering a diverse program. They offer specialty programs to almost any and every taste that is possible in this area.

KANM Student Radio is, as the name implies, the student-run radio station at Texas A&M University. We strive to provide non-commercial music and views to the Bryan/College Station community that aren't available on other local or popular national media. “The college station of College Station” broadcasts 24/7/365 at 1580 AM, on Campus Cable Channel 88, 99.9 FM Cable, and via online streaming audio. Our DJs have weekly shows with free-form formats consisting of indie rock and pop, emo and post punk, punk, hip hop, alternative, metal, electronica, jazz, world, blues, folk, talk, and more. Student radio at Texas A&M has been around for almost 35 years, and KANM is proud to continue this tradition.

Its studios are located in the Radio-TV-Film Hall on the the campus of San Antonio College. KSYM-FM broadcasts 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is completely operated by students under the direction of the faculty of the RTF Department of San Antonio College. KURT (100.7 LP-FM) "The Planet" is owned and operated by Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. We play all kinds of rock music and anything else that we deem worthy. The station made its first broadcast on February 9, 2004. KURT provides an opportunity for Tarleton students of all majors to gain experience both on-air and off as a DJ or by working in a management, promotions, sales, production or music position. Internships are also available for students who would like to gain experience while also earning class credit.
