in symphony orchestra, wind ensemble, concert band, jazz bands, mariachis, choirs

The University of Texas at Brownsville offers nine music degrees: the Bachelor
of Music with options in teacher certification for Instrumental Music (band/orchestra
including all brass, woodwinds, strings, and percussion), Keyboard, Voice (Choral)
and Guitar; performance degree options including the Bachelor of Music in Instrumental
Music, Keyboard, Voice and Guitar; and a Master of Music in Music Education.
Ensemble opportunities include: Symphony Orchestra, String Orchestra, Wind Ensemble
(Allen Clark, Director), Concert Band, Master Chorale (Dianne Brumley, Director),
University Chorus, Bravo Opera Company, Mariachi Escorpion, Mariachi Luna Azteca,
Jazz Bands, Jazz Combos, Percussion Ensembles, Guitar Orchestra, and a variety
of other chamber ensembles. The concert series, Patron of the Arts, brings the
finest in internationally and nationally recognized artists and chamber groups.
Venues include the SETB Hall (350 seats) and the new state-of-the-art Performance
