The
School of Music at Texas Lutheran University endeavors to stimulate growth in
the appreciation of music among all members of the student body by providing professional
training for those interested in a career in music. Texas Lutheran University
offers a Bachelor of Arts in Music and the Bachelor of Music in Performance, Music
Education, and Church Music. We are also a member of the Texas Association of
Music Schools. Performance opportunities include the Concert Band (120 members;
Beth Bronk, Conductor 830-372-6028), Jazz Band, (36 members; Scott McDonald, Conductor
830-372-6015), Pep Band (120 members Beth Bronk, Conductor), the Texas Lutheran
University Choir (53 members; Dr. Doug Boyer, Conductor 830-372-6869), Kantorei
Chamber Choir (18 members; Dr. Doug Boyer, Conductor), and the Mid-Texas Symphony
(65 members; David Mairs, Conductor 830-372-8089). Performance facilities include
the Ayers Recital Hall (180 seats), Jackson Auditorium (1,100 seats), and Wupperman
Little Theater (300 seats).
