Southwestern Assemblies of God University offers a
Bachelor of Science in the areas of Church Ministry, Music Performance and Music
Education as well as an Associate of Music degree. Chapel music is performed daily
by students and faculty in religious services and a weekly ministry lab includes
lectures on different aspects of religious music life. Piano rooms, piano lab
and a music library are also available. Also a member of the Texas Music Educators
Association. Additional affiliations include the Texas Music Education Association.
Performance opportunities include the Harvester Choir (open enrollment); Southwestern
Band (open enrollment); Jazz Band (open enrollment), String Ensemble (open enrollment),
Southwestern Chorale, an A Cappella group, (16 members), and various student ensembles.
Performance facilities include McCafferty Hall (200) and the Full Life Center
(2,500), Foster Music Building (75).
