Gov. Perry Appoints Foster to Texas Mutual Insurance Company Board of Directors
AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Linda Stuckey Foster of Midland to the Texas Mutual Insurance Company Board of Directors for a term to expire July 1, 2009. The board acts as a competitive force in the workers’ compensation market to guarantee the availability of workers’ compensation in Texas and to act as the insurer of last resort.
Foster is director of external affairs for AT&T. She is a member of the Permian Basin Community Center, Permian Basin Petroleum Museum, Midland United Way and Midland Independent School District boards of directors. She is also a member of the Midland-Odessa Transportation Alliance Inc. and Midland Executive Women, and past chair of the Midland Education Foundation, Midland Chamber of Commerce and Midland United Way boards of directors. Foster attended the University of Houston. She replaces Sandra Thomas of Dallas.
