Gov. Perry Appoints Brooks to Juvenile Justice Advisory Board
AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Glenn Brooks of Austin to the Juvenile Justice Advisory Board for a term to expire at the pleasure of the governor. The board oversees the treatment and prevention of juvenile delinquency and administers juvenile justice funds.
Brooks is the grants management director for Texas Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). He administers state and federal funds that are passed on to 68 local CASA programs serving abused and neglected children across the state. He is past director of justice programs in the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division, and past advisory group representative to the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, Coalition on Juvenile Justice and National Crime Prevention Coalition. Brooks received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
