Gov. Perry Appoints Roy to Assistive and Rehabilitative Services Council

AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Donald D. Roy of Mount Pleasant to the Assistive and Rehabilitative Services Council for a term to expire Feb. 1, 2013. The council assists the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services commissioner in developing rules and policies for the agency.
Roy is a retired IRS executive. He is a teacher at Mount Pleasant First Baptist Church and volunteers as an election judge in Titus County.
Roy received a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University. He replaces Robert Peters of Tyler.
