Gov. Perry Appoints Holt to Texas State Library and Archives Commission
AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Larry G. Holt of College Station to the Texas State Library and Archives Commission for a term to expire Sept. 28, 2009. The commission provides informational, library, archival and records management services to government agencies and individuals.
Holt is an attorney in private practice. He is a life member of the Texas Bar Foundation, and a member of the Brazos County Bar Association, and State Bar of Texas, where he serves on the Minimum Continuing Legal Education Committee. He is also chairman of the Mary Rodes Gibson Hemostasis-Thrombosis Foundation Board of Trustees and general counsel for the Greater Texas Foundation. Holt received a law degree from Baylor University and a master’s degree in law from Southern Methodist University. He replaces Cruz Hernandez of Burleson.
This appointment is subject to Senate confirmation.
