Gov. Perry Appoints Bleyzer to Texas Emerging Technology Fund Advisory Committee

AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Michael Bleyzer of Houston to the Texas Emerging Technology Fund Advisory Committee for a term to expire Aug. 31, 2011. The committee recommends proposals eligible for funding under the emerging technology fund to the governor, lieutenant governor, and speaker of the Texas House of Representatives.

Bleyzer is president and chief operating officer of SigmaBleyzer Investment Group LLC. He is a member of the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association Advisory Board, Thunderbird Global Council and Thunderbird Private Equity Center Executive Advisory Board. He is also the founder and a board member of the Bleyzer Foundation, a past member of the Gandhara Hedge Fund Board and Houston Holocaust Museum Board. Bleyzer received a master’s degree in quantum physics and digital electronics from the Kharkiv Institute of Radioelectronics in the Ukraine.
