Gov. Perry Appoints Horton to the Upper Colorado River Authority Board of Directors
AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Eva Horton of San Angelo to the Upper Colorado River Authority Board of Directors for a term to expire Feb. 1. 2015. The board controls, stores, preserves and distributes the waters of the Upper Colorado River and its tributaries.
Horton is a community volunteer and former director of donor relations for the West Texas Rehabilitation Center. She is secretary of the Fort Concho Museum Board, a member of the Fairmount Cemetery Board of Directors, senior warden of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, and a board member and past president of the Friends of Fairmount non-profit organization. She is also a member and past president of the Junior League of San Angelo, past board member of Sonrisas Therapeutic Riding, and past chair and past board member of the San Angelo Academic Foundation. Horton received a bachelor’s degree from Angelo State University.
