Gov. Perry Appoints Gabriel as Justice to the Second Court of Appeals

AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Lee Gabriel of Sanger as justice of the Second Court of Appeals, effective August 1, 2010, for a term to expire at the next general election.
Gabriel is judge of the 367th District Court in Denton County. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, National Association of Drug Court Professionals, Texas Association of District Judges, and Denton County Bar Association. She is also a past member of the National Association of Women Judges and American Bar Association, and a former board member of the Sanger Education Foundation and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Denton County. Gabriel received a bachelor’s degree and a law degree from Texas Tech University.
