Gov. Perry Appoints Philipson to Texas Holocaust and Genocide Commission

Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Gregg Philipson of Austin to the Texas Holocaust and Genocide Commission for a term to expire Feb. 1, 2015. The commission works with organizations, agencies, museums, survivors and liberators to help preserve information and experiences of the Holocaust and other genocide events.
Philipson is vice president of Softex Inc. He is a member of the Holocaust Museum of Houston Advisory Board and the American Philatelic Society, and a past volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas.
Philipson received a bachelor's degree from the University of Buffalo in New York.
