Gov. Perry Reappoints Three to Angelina and Neches River Authority Board of Directors
Gov. Rick Perry has reappointed three members to the Angelina and Neches River Authority Board of Directors for terms to expire Sept. 5, 2017. The board sets policy, provides oversight and employs a general manager for the Angelina and Neches River Authority, which oversees water resources in 17 counties surrounding the Neches River Basin.
Louis Bronaugh of Lufkin is a retired optician. He is a board member of Pineywoods Resource Conservation and Development and Goodwill Industries of Lufkin, board chairman of the Brazos Transit District, and a board member and past president of the Deep East Texas Council of Governments. He is also past president of Certified Opticians of Texas, past chairman of the Texas Board of Health Advisory Council, past executive committee member of Tyler Junior College School of Opticianry, and a past fellow of the National Academy of Opticians. Bronaugh served in the U.S. Navy. He attended Texas Tech University and the University of Houston.
Patricia Dickey of Crockett is owner of Coldwell Banker Pat Dickey in Crockett, and Coldwell Banker Choice in Nacogdoches. She is a member of the Crockett and Nacogdoches chambers of Commerce, and Brazos Valley and Deep East Texas Better Business Bureau. She is also a past board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Deep East Texas.
Julie Dowell of Bullard is a retired police officer and former special deputy U.S. Marshal. She is a board member and volunteer for the Spirit of St. Louis Therapeutic Riding Center, a past board member of Town North YMCA, and a past member of the Bullard Elementary School Site Based Decision Making Committee. Dowell attended the University of Colorado.
