Gov. Perry Appoints von Biedenfeld to Texas Council on Purchasing from People with Disabilities

Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Dietrich M. von Biedenfeld of West Columbia to the Texas Council on Purchasing from People with Disabilities for a term to expire Jan. 31, 2017. The council helps Texans with disabilities achieve maximum personal independence through productive employment opportunities.

Von Biedenfeld is the contract administrator for San Jacinto College District. He is vice chair of the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Committee on Dispute Resolution, and a member of the Texas Bar Association, International Association of Emergency Managers, National Institute of Government Purchasers, Federal Bar Association, and the U.S. Green Building Council. He is also a life-member of Disabled American Veterans, a volunteer of Vietnam Veterans of America and assistant troop master for the Brazoria County Boy Scouts of America Troop 197.

Von Biedenfeld received a bachelor's degree from the University of Houston and a law degree from the University of Mississippi.
