Gov. Perry Reappoints Jacobs to State Soil and Water Conservation Board

Gov. Rick Perry has reappointed Larry Jacobs of Montgomery to the State Soil and Water Conservation Board for a term to expire Feb. 1, 2014. The board administers Texas' soil and water conservation law, and coordinates conservation and pollution abatement programs throughout the state.
Jacobs is a rancher and owner of Jacobs Properties. He is a member of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, Sam Houston Resource Conservation and Development Council, and the National, Texas and Houston associations of Realtors. Jacobs attended the University of Texas.
