Gov. Perry Reappoints Parsley as Chief Administrative Law Judge for State Office of Administrative Hearings
Gov. Rick Perry has reappointed Cathleen Parsley of Austin as chief administrative law judge for the Texas State Office of Administrative Hearings for a term to expire May 15, 2014. The judge oversees hearings in contested cases to ensure they are conducted objectively, promptly and efficiently.
Parsley is the current chief administrative law judge for the State Office of Administrative Hearings. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, and is admitted to practice law in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Federal circuits. She is also a member of and volunteer for Impact Austin, and a seminar presenter for the State Bar of Texas and Austin Bar Association. Parsley received a bachelor's degree and law degree from Texas Tech University.
