Gov. Perry Appoints Tucker as Judge of 199th Judicial District Court
Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Angela Tucker of McKinney as judge of the 199th Judicial District Court in Collin County for a term to expire at the next general election.
Tucker is an attorney in private practice, and a former Collin County assistant district attorney. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Collin County Bar Association, Collin County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, McKinney Chamber of Commerce, and Curt B. Henderson Inns of Court. She is also a member and past secretary of the Collin County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, a volunteer speaker for the Ruth Dowell Middle School Community in Schools Program, and a member of the Holy Family School McKinney Independent School District Parent Teacher associations.
Tucker received a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas and a law degree from the Southern Methodist University School of Law.
