Gov. Perry Appoints Trevino to the Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation

Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Fernando Trevino, Jr. of Del Rio to the Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation for a term to expire Jan. 3, 2017. The corporation is responsible for guaranteeing loans made under the federal guaranteed student loan program.
Trevino is a student at Texas A&M University (TAMU), and is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in political science and a Master of Public Service and Administration from the TAMU Bush School of Government and Public Service. He is the 2011-2012 student regent of the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents, a past member of the TAMU Century Singers, and a graduate of Junior Leadership Brownsville.
