Gov. Perry Appoints Cashon as Judge of 266th Judicial District Court
Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Jason Cashon of Stephenville as judge of the 266th Judicial District Court in Erath County for a tem to expire at the next general election.
Cashon is district attorney of the 266th Judicial District in Erath County, and an adjunct professor at Tarleton State University. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas and Erath County Bar associations, Texas District and County Attorneys Association and National District Attorneys Association. He is also a board member of the Erath County Criminal Justice Council, Erath County Bail Bond Board, Paluxy River Child Advocacy Center, Cross Timbers Family Services, Tarleton State University Veteran Services Board, and Tarleton State University Bachelor of Arts in Applied Science Criminal Justice Advisory Board.
Cashon received a bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University and a law degree from Texas Wesleyan University, and is board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Criminal Law.
