Gov. Perry Names Kreisle Chair of Texas Historical Commission
Gov. Rick Perry has named Matthew Kreisle III of Austin chair of the Texas Historical Commission for a term to expire at the pleasure of the governor. The commission works to preserve Texas' architectural, archeological and cultural landmarks.
Kreisle is a senior partner and managing principal at Page Southerland Page. He is a member of the Texas Society of Architects, American Institute of Architects and International Interior Design Association, and a past citizen advisor to the City of Austin Downtown Commission. He is also a past president of the Heritage Society of Austin, past chair of the Austin Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Associates, past board member of the Real Estate Council of Austin, and a past recipient of the Austin History Center Association Katherine Drake Hart Historic Preservation Award.
Kreisle received a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas.
