Gov. Perry Appoints Leonard as Judge of the 238th Judicial District Court in Midland County

Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Elizabeth Leonard of Midland as judge of the 238th Judicial District Court in Midland County for a term to expire at the next general election.

Leonard is an attorney and landman at JTD Resources, LLC, a special prosecutor for the Midland County District Attorney's Office, and a former assistant district attorney of Midland County. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Midland County Bar Association, and the Permian Basin Landmen's Association. She is past president of the Midland Chapter of Philanthropic Educational Organization International, board treasurer of the Saddle Club Lakes Homeowner's Association, member of the Midland Downtown Lion's Club, and a sustaining member of the Junior League of Midland.

Leonard received a bachelor's degree from Baylor University and a law degree from South Texas College of Law.
