Gov. Perry Appoints Peavy as District Attorney of the 90th Judicial District Court for Stephens and Young Counties

Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Dee Peavy of Graham as district attorney of the 90th Judicial District for Stephens and Young counties for a term to expire at the next general election.

Peavy is partner at Peavy and Peavy and is a former assistant district attorney of Dallas County. She is also president of the board of directors at Eastland Energy Company, Inc., Scutage Corporation, and the Heriot Corporation. Peavy is a member of the State Bar of Texas, a member and past vice president of the Young County Bar Association, and a past member of Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. She is a member and past president of the Graham Area Church Women, a member and past vice president of St. Mary's Church of Graham Women's Council, and is a board member of the Graham Little League Basketball Association.

Peavy received a bachelor's degree from the University of North Texas and a law degree from the Southern Methodist University School of Law.
