Gov. Perry Appoints Dennis as District Attorney of the 286th Judicial District for Hockley and Cochran Counties

Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Christopher Dennis of Levelland as district attorney of the 286th Judicial District for Hockley and Cochran Counties for a term to expire at the next general election.

Dennis is the Hockley County Attorney and is a former assistant district attorney of Hockley County. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Hockley County Bar Association, the Texas District and County Attorney's Association, and admitted to practice law in the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas. He is president of the West Texas Pop Warner Youth Football League, a member of the Levelland Rotary Club, and a former board member of the Covenant Hospital Foundation.

Dennis received a bachelor's degree from Lubbock Christian University and a law degree from the Texas Tech University School of Law.
