Gov. Perry Appoints Ellzey to Texas Board of Nursing

Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Shelby Ellzey of Midlothian to the Texas Board of Nursing for a term to expire Jan. 31, 2015. The board ensures that licensed nurses in Texas meet the necessary requirements to practice, and oversees accreditation of schools of nursing.
Ellzey is a homemaker and former sales representative of Heart's Desire in Frisco. She received a bachelor's degree from Baylor University and will serve as a public member to the board.
