Gov. Perry Appoints Martin to Lavaca-Navidad River Authority Board of Directors

Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Glenn T. Martin of Edna to the Lavaca-Navidad River Authority Board of Directors for a term to expire May 1, 2013. The board oversees the storage, preservation and distribution of stream and river water in Jackson County.

Martin is president of M.O.R. Inc. He is a member of the National Rifle Association and Masonic Lodge of Edna, chair of the Pastor Parish Relations Committee, and past board chair of the First United Methodist Church of Edna Board of Trustees. He is also past secretary of the Edna Independent School District Board of Trustees, past board member of the Jackson County Youth Rodeo, past member of the American Petroleum Institute and Texas Association of Sports Officials, and a past volunteer coach and manager for Edna Little League Baseball. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Martin attended Southwest Texas State University, now Texas State University.
