Gov. Perry Appoints Ward as Judge of the 234th Judicial District Court
Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Wesley Ward of Houston as judge of the 234th Judicial District Court in Harris County for a term to expire at the next general election.
Ward is an attorney and certified public accountant. He is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of Texas, all U.S. District Courts in Texas and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, American Bar Association and Texas Aggie Bar Association, and a member and litigation section chair of the Houston Bar Association. He is also co-chair of the Rice University James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy Associates' Roundtable, a life member and captain of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Team Penning and Ranching Sorting Committee, a life member of the National Eagle Scout Association, and a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church Board of Stewards.
Ward received a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University and a law degree from the University of Texas School of Law.
