Gov. Perry Reappoints Moore as Presiding Judge of the Ninth Administrative Judicial Region
Gov. Rick Perry has reappointed Kelly G. Moore of Brownfield as presiding judge of the Ninth Administrative Judicial Region for a term to expire in 2016.
Moore is presiding judge of the Ninth Administrative Judicial Region and the 121st District Court in Terry and Yoakum Counties. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Judicial Council and Brownfield Bar Association, and a life fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. He is a board member of the judicial section of the State Bar of Texas, Caprock Regional Public Defender Office and Capital Writs Committee Director Selection Committee, and a member and co-chair of the Regional Public Defender for Capital Cases Oversight Board. He is also past president of the Brownfield Rotary Club, and a past board member of Terry County United Way, Brownfield Meals on Wheels and Crossroads Samaritan Counseling Center.
Moore received a bachelor's degree and law degree from Texas Tech University.
