Gov. Perry Appoints Jackson to State Employee Charitable Campaign Policy Council

Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Wroe Jackson of Austin to the State Employee Charitable Campaign Policy Committee for a term to expire Jan. 1, 2014. The committee determines the eligibility of entities for participation in the State Employee Charitable Campaign, and oversees the activities of the campaign.

Jackson is general counsel for the Office of the Secretary of State. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Austin Bar Association, Texas and Austin Young Lawyers associations, University of Texas System Chancellor's Council Centurions, and Knights of the Symphony. He is also a board member of the Austin High School Alumni Association, a life member of the National Eagle Scout Association, and a past board member of the Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation.

Jackson received a bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University and a law degree from St. Mary's University School of Law.
