Gov. Perry Appoints Jons to Upper Guadalupe River Authority Board of Directors

Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Hugh Jons of Kerrville to the Upper Guadalupe River Authority Board of Directors for a term to expire Feb. 1, 2017. The authority develops water policies, manages floods and protects the quality of water for the Guadalupe River.

Jons is the vice president and co-founder of J3 Company LLC, a heavy highway construction company, and an attorney. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, National Order of Barristers and Associated General Contractors of America, and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He is also a member of the Heritage School Board of Directors and Kerr Emergency 911 Network, and a past board member of the St. Peters Episcopal Church Vestry.

Jons received a bachelor's degree from Texas State University and a law degree from St. Mary's University School of Law.
