Gov. Perry Appoints Flow to Texas Skill Standards Board
Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Terri Flow of Austin to the Texas Skill Standards Board for a term to expire at the pleasure of the governor. The board facilitates and promotes the use of industry-developed skill standards for major skilled occupations, such as machinists, database administrators and air conditioning technicians.
Flow is a government relations manager at BancVue. She is past director of BancVue's Freedom Bar Camp, past president of West Austin I Toastmasters Club, a past consultant for Junior Achievement in Michigan and Oklahoma, and a past member of the American Society of Training and Development. She is also a past volunteer for Keep Austin Beautiful, Brighton Gardens Assisted Living Center and Ann Arbor Veterans Administration Hospital in Michigan, and a past coach for Upward Sports Youth Basketball League.
Flow received a bachelor's degree from Oral Roberts University and a certificate of nonprofit management from Texas A&M University Bush School of Government and Public Service.
