Gov. Perry Appoints Rainey to Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners
Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Carol "Missy" Rainey of Keller to the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners for a term to expire Feb. 1, 2017. The board regulates the profession of social work in Texas.
Rainey is a licensed baccalaureate social worker and assistant court investigator for the Denton County Probate Court. She is a member of the National and Texas Guardianship associations, Parent Association for the Retarded of Texas Inc., Arc of Denton County, and the Texoma Branch of the National Association of Social Workers, and a member and past board member of the Texas Association of Social Workers. She is also a member of the University of North Texas and Texas Woman's University advisory boards and Denton County Mental Health Mental Retardation Center Community Support Advisory Committee, a mentor for Communities in Schools of North Texas, and a member and past board member of Leadership Denton Alumni.
Rainey received a bachelor's degree from Texas Woman's University.
