Gov. Perry Reappoints Krause to Texas Lottery Commission
Gov. Rick Perry has reappointed J. Winston Krause of Austin to the Texas Lottery Commission for a term to expire Feb. 1, 2019. The commission oversees the Texas Lottery, and ensures lottery and bingo games are conducted in a legal and fair manner.
Krause is a tax, estate and corporate lawyer, and the principal partner of Krause and Associates Inc. He is a non-practicing certified public accountant, and a member of the State Bar of Texas, Austin Bar Association and American Bar Association Tax Section. He is also a member of the Huston-Tillotson University Board of Trustees, a past member of the Tarrytown United Methodist Board of Trustees, and a board member and past president of the Boys Scouts of America Capitol Area Council.
Krause received a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas and a law degree from Southern Methodist University.
This appointment is subject to Senate confirmation.
