Gov. Perry Reappoints DeNoyelles and Aycock To Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles
AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry today announced the reappointment of Jackie DeNoyelles of Flint and Charles F. Aycock of Farwell to the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles for terms to expire Feb. 1, 2011. The board makes parole decisions for Texas prison inmates, determines conditions for parole and mandatory supervision, and makes recommendations on clemency matters to the governor.
DeNoyelles currently serves on the board and is a member of the Palestine office. She is a former regional representative with the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and Tourism. DeNoyelles is a member of the Tyler Chamber of Commerce, the Texas Economic Development Council and ambassador for the University of Texas at Tyler. She serves on the committee of Heart of Tyler and Women in Tyler. DeNoyelles received a bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. Aycock, a former county attorney for Parmer County, currently serves on the board in the Amarillo office. He is a past president of the State Bar of Texas and former member of the House of Delegates of the American Bar Association.
Aycock is a trustee and chair of the Texas Bar Foundation Board of Trustees. A graduate of Texas Tech University, he received a law degree from the University of Texas School of Law.
These appointments are subject to senate confirmation.
