Gov. Perry Appoints Loveday and Schutte to Polygraph Examiners Board

AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry appointed Gory Loveday of Winona and Kevin Schutte of Hooks to the Polygraph Examiners Board for terms to expire June 18, 2011.

Loveday is an investigator with the Smith County Sheriff’s Department. He is a member and past president of the Texas Association of Polygraph Examiners. He is also a member of the Texas Association of Law Enforcement Polygraph Investigators, American Polygraph Association, and American Association of Police Polygraphists. Loveday received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Tyler.

Schutte is detective sergeant with the City of Texarkana Police Department and formerly served at the Arkansas Department of Corrections. He is a member and past president of the Texas Association of Law Enforcement Polygraph Investigators, and a member and past chief of the Hooks Volunteer Fire Department.

These appointments are subject to senate confirmation.
