Gov. Perry Appoints Bradford to the State Commission on Judicial Conduct

AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry today announced the appointment of Ann Appling Bradford of Midland to the State Commission on Judicial Conduct for a term to expire Nov. 19, 2009. The commission is responsible for investigating allegations of judicial misconduct or judicial disability, and for disciplining judges.

Bradford is executive director of Centers for Children and Families. She serves on the board of the Texas Optometry Board and Communities in Schools. Bradford is former state board member of Community Partners. She is a member of the Permian Basin TCU Alumni Board, a founder of Hearthstone, Emergency Shelter for Children, a member of the Junior League of Midland, and of the Midland and Odessa Chambers of Commerce. Bradford received a bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University.

This appointment is subject to senate confirmation.
