Gov. Perry Names Rummell and Draper To San Jacinto River Authority Board of Directors
AUSTIN- Gov. Rick Perry has announced the appointments of Marisa Rummell of Spring and John Draper of Cypress to the San Jacinto River Authority Board of Directors for terms to expire Oct. 16, 2009. The board is responsible for the conservation, protection and development of the water resources of the San Jacinto River watershed.
Rummell is owner of Marisa Business Park and Productioneered Parts Corporation, a replacement parts manufacturing company serving the petro-chemical industry. She is chairman of the Montgomery County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and a member of Saints Simon and Jude Catholic Church.
Draper is a home builder and vice president of Thompson Real Estate. He recently completed his term as president of Houston Farm and Ranch, the Harris County Fair, is vice chairman of the Houston Livestock Show and is a member of the development council of Texas A&M University College of Veterinarian Science. Draper is a lifetime member of the University of Houston Alumni Association, the Montgomery County Fair and has served on the boards of the Cowboy Heritage Association, All Those Texans and the Sam Houston Area Council Boy Scouts of America. He is a life member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. He received an associate’s degree from the University of Houston.
These appointments are subject to senate confirmation.
