Gov. Perry Appoints Brownlow to Evergreen Underground Water Conservation District

AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry appointed Darrell Brownlow of Floresville to the Evergreen Underground Water Conservation District for a term to expire Feb. 1, 2009. The board oversees the management and conservation of groundwater in Atascosa, Frio, Wilson and Karnes counties.
Brownlow is vice president of mining and resource management for Cemex USA. He has also been a voting member of the South Central Texas Regional Water Planning Group since 1999.
Brownlow received his bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees in geology from Texas Tech University. He is being reappointed to the board.
