Gov. Perry Reappoints Gordon to Rio Grande Compact Commission
AUSTIN – Gov Rick Perry reappointed Patrick R. Gordon of El Paso to the Rio Grande Compact Commission for a term to expire June 9, 2013. The commission administers the Rio Grande Compact, an agreement between the states of Colorado, New Mexico and Texas, to ensure that Texas receives an equitable share of quality water from the Rio Grande and its tributaries.
Gordon is a partner of Gordon and Mott. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the American Bar Association and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is board certified in tax law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Gordon received a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University, and a law degree and master of business administration degree from Texas Tech University.
