Gov. Perry Appoints Four to Midwestern State University Board of Regents

AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry appointed four members to the Midwestern State University Board of Regents.

Charles Engleman of Wichita Falls is a retired petroleum engineer and self employed investor. He is a member of the Society of Professional Engineers, Society of Petroleum Engineers and North Texas Oil and Gas Association. Engleman received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He replaces Don Ross Malone of Vernon for a term to expire Feb. 25, 2014.

Fenton Lynwood Givens of Plano is a self employed consultant and investment analyst. He is a member of the American Physical Society and served on the University of Texas at Dallas Research Advisory Board. Givens received a bachelor’s degree from Midwestern State University, and master’s and doctorate degrees in physics from the University of Texas at Austin. He replaces Mac Wilmer Cannedy of Wichita Falls for a term to expire Feb. 25, 2012.

Shawn G. Hessing of Fort Worth is a certified public accountant and partner with KPMG L.L.P. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He also serves on the board of the Forth Worth Zoo and is active in Young Life. Hessing received a bachelor’s degree from Midwestern State University. He replaces Patricia Haywood of Wichita Falls for a term to expire Feb. 25, 2014.

Jane W. Spears of Wichita Falls is owner of Galerie Pavilion. She serves on the board of the Wichita Falls Museum and Art Center and Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation. She also founded Paint Pals, Inc. and serves on the board of Building Bridges Ministry. Spears received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She replaces Pamela Odom Gough of Graham for a term to expire Feb. 25, 2014.
