Gov. Perry Appoints McKinney to Gulf States Marine Fisheries Commission

AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry has appointed David Austin McKinney of Cypress Mill to the Gulf States Marine Fisheries Commission for a term to expire March 17, 2011. Representatives from Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas serve on the commission, which focuses on conservation, development and utilization of the Gulf of Mexico’s fishery resources.
McKinney is a rancher and owner of Three Springs Ranch. He is a member of the Working Ranch Cowboys Association and the American Quarter Horse Association. He also served in the U.S. Navy. He replaces Ralph Rayburn of College Station.
