Gov. Perry Appoints Matson to State Commission on Judicial Conduct

AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Karry K. Matson of Georgetown to the State Commission on Judicial Conduct for a term expiring Nov. 19, 2013. The commission is responsible for investigating allegations of judicial misconduct or judicial disability, and for disciplining judges.
Matson, originally from Buda, is a former teacher. She is a past member of the Texas State Teacher’s Association and Texas Extension Education Association, and superintendent for the Travis County Youth Show. Matson received a bachelor’s degree from Texas State University. She replaces Faye W. Barksdale of Arlington.
