On Set in Texas at Austin Studios
Texas has been the backdrop of countless films and productions over the past century, amassing an impressive list of critically acclaimed movies and programs including: "Giant," "Dallas" (and the show's reboot, premiering in June), "Terms of Endearment," "Spy Kids" and "Temple Grandin," just to name a few.
It's no secret to Texans that the Lone Star State is home to some of the most talented actors, seasoned crews and beautiful locations, and with the help of programs like the Texas Moving Image Industry Incentive Program, more and more production companies are taking notice as well, including the folks behind "The Lying Game".
"The Lying Game" began filming at Austin Studios in July 2011, and producers of the show invited us on set as they wrapped production of season one. Producers list Texas' hardworking artistic community, the incentive program and stunning scenery as prime reasons for filming in the state.
Other projects shot in Texas include five seasons of "Friday Night Lights," "Secondhand Lions," the Oscar-nominated "True Grit," and the Oscar-nominated and Palme D'Or-winning "The Tree of Life."
"The Lying Game" airs Mondays on ABC Family.
