Statement by Gov. Rick Perry on the passing of John D. Parker

AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry today issued the following statement on the passing of the Honorable John D. Parker, East Texas business leader and member of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission.

“John D. Parker was a success in business, a community leader, a committed family man and the consummate outdoorsman. Throughout his life, he devoted his time and effort to conserving our state’s natural beauty, preserving the authentic Texas experience for generations to come. Anita and I extend our sincere condolences and prayers to his family and friends.”
