Friday, September 14, 2012 Austin, Texas Press Release
Gov. Rick Perry was joined by Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper to discuss competitiveness and economic development at the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation's 2012 Leadership Exchange.
The governor touted Texas' strong business climate and the state's competitive spirit, saying, "competition is not entirely about coming in first, it's about making us all work harder, smarter and more effectively."
Gov. Perry also highlighted the Texas Enterprise Fund and the state's conservative policies that have helped make Texas the nation's epicenter for jobs, low taxes, fair courts and predictable regulations.
Following the discussion, Govs. Perry and HIckenlooper participated in a question and answer session with business leaders.
