Gov. Perry: Praises Passage of National Defense Authorization Act

Gov. Rick Perry released the following statement praising the Texas Congressional Delegation's hard work to save the state's C-130 aircraft through the passage of the FY2013 National Defense Authorization Act:

"Congress made the right call today, thanks in no small part to the hard work put in by Rep. Granger, Sen. Cornyn, Sen. Hutchison and everyone in the Texas Congressional Delegation. Retaining these aircraft ensures these critical assets are close at hand when people in Texas, and all across the Gulf Coast region, are in need of life-saving supplies and assistance during a disaster."
